About Us

Flowers have always been important in my life. When I was young, I vividly remember a house that we moved in to which had a beautiful garden full of flowers, from freesias and stock to ranunculus and sweet pea, it was a feast for the senses. The smell was amazing and the sight of it just made me happy.

As I grew up, I commandeered sections of my parents back yard and began to grow the most colourful blooms I could. When it came to my wedding, the florist was the first thing I booked as I knew they would play a huge part in our day and I wanted them to be perfect.

I have played around with flowers for years and always appreciated receiving them on special occasions. In my mind, being a florist has always been my dream job.

I have worked for my family since I was 14 in an equally creative job as a jeweller, but the time came for me to do something for me and to bring that dream to life.

In April 2021, I opened the doors to Main St Blooms in the historic Old Clare Town Hall. The space had been lovingly updated by the previous tenants, Vanguardist Wine Room so it was perfect for a florist and indoor plant store. In November 2022, I relocated the business to a new store which gave us more opportunity to expand the range of products on offer along with looking after our event and wedding clients.

My vision is to have a store that is bursting with fresh flowers, that are sourced as much as possible from local growers. Along with a range of indoor plants, both unusual and your old favourites complimented by stunning decorator pots. I'm proud to have introduced some amazing new products to the Clare Valley and look forward to adding more in the future.
